The Board and staff of the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport is saddened by the passing today of Ambassador M. Stofile, the current Vice President of WADA and former South African ambassador to Germany. Ambassador Stofile championed fair play and drug-free sport during his tenure as Minister of Sport in South Africa and subsequently as a diplomat and WADA executive member.  Stofile hailed from Alice in the Eastern Cape and was well-known as an ardent anti-apartheid activist in sport as well as an astute sports administrator in the then SA Rugby Union. Amb. Stofile will be fondly remembered for his encyclopedic knowledge of rugby and his endearing belief in sport as a vehicle for social upliftment. Hamba Kahle Makhenkesi Stofile .
